  • Goals?

The price of greatness is responsibility.

    -Winston Churchill-

It always seems to be the most complicated thing to actually get up and go. We have all of these random thoughts and great aspirations, but it always seems to be the hardest thing to actually bring those things into fruition. Why is that? Sometimes it seems to be the lack of get up and go and at other times it seems to be the lack of get out and get it in our lives.. Is that really a hinderance though or are we just not pushing ourselves hard enough?

It never ceases to amaze me how many great ideas are out there in the world that we haven’t put the effort into. Funny though, that I hear a lot of black women complain about how so many other races are taking our ideas, or taking ideas from our culture and trying to make it their own. The real question is, are we as a black community (especially women) doing enough to make our own culture look great. Are we doing enough to make our culture stand out and be recognized for the things we feel deserve recognition?

We have the power to do so much and make such a big difference in this world, but so many times we hinder ourselves. I love to encourage Women, not just women of the African American culture but women period, because I also believe that we need to stand up and stand behind each other more as well. Let us begin to make sure that the next is always encouraged and inspired. Let us begin to actually make our dreams come true and stand up for what we truly believe in, without sabotaging our relationships by trying to be to HARD or trying to make our significant others feel as though they are less than us.

As a society only we can take the blame for the level that we reach in this world. Its not until most of us have reached our breaking points that we are actually ready to get up and work. When in all actuality that should never be an excuse and its definitely not a valid reason. So at this point, even if it hurts, let your female friend know that there are other things in this world that she could be doing, make sure she uses her talents, make sure she fulfills her life’s purpose, and make sure that her goals are reached.

It will never be done if the creator doesn’t establish the foundation and complete the assignment.
