As many of you may know since 2016 my family and I have been living with my parents, due to my health issues. It wasn’t safe for me to be home alone with Bailyr considering I could have a seizure during any nap or at any time. Therefore, we moved in with my parents and have been here for the past four years. Considering this year made a whole year since I’ve had a seizure, the time has now come.
I am very excited about this move and would love to take you all on this journey with me. It kind of feels like this is our first place, although we had our own place prior to my episodes. I am my own person and I move to the beat of my own drum, but of course that natural feeling always comes in. When you see others doing things that you think you should be doing or having things that you planned on having at this age. Well, that kicked in HEAVY for me and it began to bother me at times. My husband would always tell me to keep my eyes on the prize and soon God would give us everything we want and need.
Now, me being me, as soon as I made it a year with no seizures, I was ready to make a move, but of course if you want to see God laugh…show him your plans. We were so headstrong on getting a house and we tried everything on our own, while consulting God still moving according to our own desires. Fortunately, I serve a God who has my best interests at heart and will block any and everything that isn’t for me. Therefore, the place that we thought we would be calling home was a no go because God said so.
Looking back on it now, John and I are both happy that it didn’t go through because there is so much more that we want in a home. We want Bailyr to be able to play outside and we want to have room to host backyard festivities, if we’re going to purchase a long-term home. So we decided to just get back out there, we found the perfect apartment home. We love it and we have plenty of room and space for Bailyr to play and for me to work and live. I am so excited, anxious, and nervous at the same time. We are going to stay in our apartment until we find the home that we truly love. So far, I have found a majority of my furniture and my colors have already been chosen. Of course, I am still browsing and picking up small things, while in need of bigger ones lol, but what can I say, it’s been a while. So welcome to this moving journey and I hope you all enjoy!
Your time isn’t always God’s time, but one thing for certain is his timing is PERFECT.
