As of late my energy seems to be very different! I’ve been trying to make sure I stay in positive places and consume myself with positive thoughts. This was a change I made earlier this year, but I actually lived in this change and actually put it to action after my post about taking your role seriously. I am not sure why, but that post really had a grand effect on me and it made me seriously think about the path I was on. Also the path that I was possibly creating.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I have never tried to be anyone else. But we all know that looking at social media and other people, the success they are gaining in comparison to yours, can sometimes make you want to do exactly what they did to get to where they are. I had to take some serious time to myself in order to figure out what type of path I wanted to take and what it was that I wanted to do.
I had to really realize that I make my own rules in this life and I really don’t have to look to anyone else for the correct way! In all honesty there is no RIGHT way in this life. Also you have to ask yourself, is following their light really going to make me shine? I highly doubt it, it will only make you a shadow. Ask yourself, Do I really want to stand in someone else’s light?
Am I saying that you can’t take advice or be encouraged by the success of someone else, not at all. What I am saying is don’t focus so hard on what the people want or what they may like from someone else. Also make sure you never get consumed in someone else’s works because comparison is envy in its own form. Not to mention, the rules that they are playing or living by may not be right for you, that route may be outside of your element! Master your craft, and when I tell you your light will shine so bright that it will make a big difference in where you’re trying to go!!!
Leave your own footprints in the sand and pray that one day you will leave inspiration for someone else. My goal right now is not to leave a path for someone to follow, but yet to inspire someone else to show their true gift, meaning my works here on Earth will encourage them to walk in their light and create their own path. More so I want to make all people feel like they’re worth it and beautiful in their own skin!
